Terms & Conditions
The terms and
conditions for use of the Peers website are detailed below and should be read
carefully. We may vary these terms from time to time and therefore you should
check them before you make a new purchase.
Please note, any use of this website or purchase made through this website constitutes an agreement to abide by the terms and conditions detailed below which shall override any other terms and conditions. Any contracts or agreements formed between you and us by means of this website shall be governed and construed according to English law and any disputes or proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
We have taken care in presenting the products on our website as accurately as possible. The images you see will depend on your monitor's display and colour capabilities. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise. Before you place an order you should read the DeliveryInformation and Returns Policy.
Our primary method of communication with you is by email. Therefore please ensure the email address you provide us with is correct. All order and despatch confirmations will be sent to the email address you provide. In the unlikely event of a problem with your order, we will contact you by telephone. Again, please ensure the contact telephone numbers you provide are accurate.
Once you have completed an online purchase, we will send you an email confirming your order details.
When your order is
placed, the funds for your order will be ‘pending’ ready for us to ‘collect’ when we despatch your order.
Pending funds means the amount of authorised money is set aside, away from your available balance and the amount is not debited completely until the day of despatch. Goods will not be despatched until payment collection has been successful.
Whilst we are under
no obligation to accept your order, we would normally do so where:
(i) the product is available
(ii) the order reflects current pricing
(iii) your credit card/debit card payment is approved by your credit card/debit card company and
(iiii) your order passes our verification checks
We cannot accept orders from persons under the age of 18. Orders placed using a debit/credit card must be based within the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, we do not accept non-UK credit or debit cards.
If you have selected a residential or business address for delivery, once you have received your order confirmation your delivery will be due the following day (excluding Sundays).

Expected Arrival of Deliveries
All orders received online at Peers are processed and, depending on stock availability, are despatched as promptly as possible and normally delivered in 1-3 working days. Please see the delivery information on the product pages for more specific information. If the items you have ordered qualify for Express Delivery, they will normally be delivered within 1-2 working days.
Where any products have a longer delivery time of 48 hours, Peers will contact you by email to confirm the approximate date of despatch.

All deliveries will
be made to you at the addresses specified by you in the order. We may, at our
discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately. If we cannot
deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason
(other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and store the products.
If you wish us to redeliver the products to you, you will need to authorise us
to charge your credit card/debit card for such re-delivery. If we do not hear
from you within 28 days, we will cancel the order and refund your payment to
you less any reasonable delivery charges we have incurred.
A signature may be required to receive the order and you will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered. Ownership of the products shall pass to you once we have received payment in full.
If you decide to have your order delivered to a different address than your own, a signature may still be required and the general conditions of delivery will remain unchanged.
Even though packages
are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, on rare occasions we do experience
losses whilst in transit. Please get in touch with Peers if you think this may
be the case with your order.
Please be aware that if we are not contacted within 30 days, an insurance claim cannot be made and thus the customer will be unable to claim any loss from Peers.
Credit/Debit Card Payment
We will contact your
payment card company for authorisation when you place your order. Your payment
card will then be debited when we pick your order for despatch. We accept the
following cards for payment: American Express, Mastercard and Visa. The total
amount you pay is unaffected, regardless of the payment method used.
We take every reasonable care to ensure that your order and subsequent transactions are conducted in a secure environment. If products are not available for any reason after we have accepted your order, we will let you know. We will not charge you for these products and will refund any amounts already paid (if any) by way of a credit to your credit card/debit card account.
All credit, debit
and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by
the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise
payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, will validate the names, addresses and other information supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g Electoral Roll data, Credit Reference Services). A third party may also be instructed to complete these checks. By ordering from the Peers.co.uk website you consent to such checks being made. We may need to contact you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able to process and dispatch your order, or we may be unable to accept your order. Any information given may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of the information.
All information provided will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. These measures are taken as extra protection for you, to ensure your online shopping experience with us is as safe and secure as possible.
Prices and Charges
We try to ensure that all product information and pricing displayed on this website is correct and up to date at the time you place an order. We verify pricing at despatch and in the event of an error the following policies will apply:
• Actual price lower than price shown at time of ordering - at our discretion we will charge you the lower amount and despatch the product.
• Actual price higher than price shown at time of ordering - we will either contact you to discuss whether you wish to continue with the order, or cancel the order and send you an email confirming the cancellation.
• All prices shown on the website are inclusive of VAT.
• All delivery charges are shown as a
separate line item on the order summary page. For full details of our delivery

Message Card and Gift Wrapping
At Peers we offer a luxury gift wrapping service. All products will arrive hand wrapped in our luxury wrapping paper and ribbon with a gift tag. This service may be withdrawn at any time.
At Peers we are proud of our reputation as suppliers of quality jewellery. We recommend an annual inspection be undertaken at the Peers showroom during the lifetime of the piece.

Peers does not cover loss or damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect or normal wear and tear this also applies to watches. This does not affect your statutory rights.
